Winter break has started! While this is a time for your child to rest and have fun, doing some academic activities can be really beneficial to keep their mind active and their knowledge fresh. That’s why in this post, The Tutoring Center in Orlando will give you a few ideas on what learning activities your child can do over the holidays.

Learning Activities for the Break

  1. Reading is an enriching activity that can improve your child’s grammar, vocabulary, knowledge, imagination, and more!
  2. Writing can also be very beneficial. Encourage your child to keep a journal in which they can write down their thoughts, feelings, the events that happened over the break, and more.
  3. Take your child on a few field trips now that school is out. Going to the zoo, a museum or the library can be both a learning and a bonding experience!
  4. Games aren’t a waste of time! Some may even help your child’s mind stay sharp. Crosswords, jigsaw puzzles, chess, and others work on their problem solving skills.
  5.  This may be the last thing your child wants to do over the break, but going over their notes can help them reinforce what they already know and get them ready for school.
